"Rhythm of Emotions"

Ever since I was a child, music has been a part of my life. There is no day that I did not sing a song. I may be not a singer but music is my greatest comfort.

I love listening to the music and the voice of the one and only Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. I am also a big fan of the Iconic Celine Dion and Adele. These female singers have been my idol ever since I was a kid and I am still admiring them through the years.

For foreign male singers, I am idolizing the iconic duo of the air supply, the beautiful voice of Barry Manilow, and the powerful voice of Michael Bolton. Locally, Michael Pangilinan is my favorite male singer, while Ben&Ben is my favorite band. As you can see, I love listening to music.

Music saved me from tears and sometimes, music is one of the reasons why I cry. I can’t last a day without music. It also inspires me to be happy and have the motivation to face my struggles. Singing in the bathroom is my favorite part, I feel like every time I sing in the bathroom and hear my voice echoing. I feel like I have the golden voice. How about you? How does music save your day? Because for me, music is like the blood that circulates throughout my body every single day. Listening to these great singers complete my days. But listening to Christian songs, such as Hillsong, I feel reassured that God will always be at my side. That even if the rain starts to pour in my life, He will be there sheltering me. If the sun does not appear, He is the first one I call to give me enough sunlight so that I won’t get lost. Having God in my life is the most important part of my existence. I will never get tired of listening to music about God. At the cross and to His Holy name, I always surrender my fears and sorrow. That’s how music saved my life. It’s not just entertainment in my ears. It’s an art that touches my heart to become the best version of myself.

My all the favorite songs are:
- Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin ka by Regine Velasquez
- That's The Way It Is by Celine Dion
- When We Were Young by Adele
- Weekend In New England by Barry Manilow
- Once In A Lifetime by Michael Bolton
- Hanggang Kailan By Michael Pangilinan
- I can Wait Forever by Air Supply
- Leave by Ben&Ben
- Still by Hillsong

  1. It's good to know that there are still young people listening to old music and appreciating songs with meanings. Unlike the younger kids nowadays that listen to modern music just because it's new and hip to their sound taste, not even knowing the meaning of the lyrics. It makes me cringe whenever they use sad songs like a break-up song as their couple song. Like, are you guys serious? Anyway, take it as a compliment when they said you have a different taste in music. Not all appreciate those singers and songs anymore so you're unique. Keep it up! ❤️

  2. I 100 percent agree with this. We may have different tastes in terms of music, but surely we feel the same when we hear our favorite rhythm. It is good to know that there is still someone who appreciates the rhythm of music and feels at ease. It would also be a great inspiration and motivation for singers to learn that their songs and every word in them leave a great impression on the listener.

    1. Exactly, music is constant in my life. And because of this, it's easier for me to express my feelings, thoughts, and my emotions. Let's continue listening to a different artist. Let's continue to follow the rhythm. Let the harmony of music be the source of our strength. Thank you.

  4. The old songs hit differently, and I personally agree with what I've read in this blog. I love to hear music, and my playlist varies depending on my mood, and growing up hearing some classic songs played by my parents or sometimes heard on the radio has made me fall more in love with the music.

    1. So lucky to have parents who also love listening to music. They were the first people who teaches us to love and listen to these wonderful songs. Continue listening to different kinds of music and I hope that you're feeling okay right now. Try to listen to once in a lifetime, sung by Micheal Bolton. You will feel so much love and feel motivated.

Because of music a lot of I was able to cope with my struggles. I wish someday I can write a song. That represents the lives of every youth that has dreams for a brighter future.
